Bareboat charter conditions

• No permit is required for bareboat charter with NAVTOURS; you just have to send us your Marine CV. After evaluation of your expérience, we will confirm the type of yacht you can charter. This requirement is the same for insurance companies covering our boats. Usually, you should be able to do line-of-sight sailing, having basic knowledge of charts and ability to plot your position, navigate in limited visibility and perform open water sailing.


• NAVTOURS gives you access to fleets mostly made of yachts builted by world best known french shipyards : Beneteau, Jeanneau, Gib Sea and other models having an excellent reputation.


• According to your experience, you may charter sailboats from 24 to 52 feet in lenght. They have all the equipment for 2 to 12 passengers, according to number of berths provided.


• All yachts are covered by a commercial marine yacht policy in case of accidental damage to the boat as well as third party risk arising from the charter; it is included in the rate. It is also possible to get Yacht Damage Waiver from corporate owners in order to limit the amount deductible. Cancellation insurance is available for all our bareboat charters, costing 4 to 6% of the amount of your contract. We advise to get such protection in order to minimize cancellation penalties.


• Each yacht is highly maintained, with extensive care given when the season starts. NAVTOURS adheres to the highest quality standards concerning security and comfort of passengers.


• If he has the experience required, the charterer must assume the duty of the skipper, operating the boat properly and exercising a good supervision of the crew. He will take decisions to guarantee security of the passengers and the boat.


• A NAVTOURS representative will assist you at delivery of your yacht and when you return at the base for the final inspection.


• Our technical support is available at any time. A replacement yacht will be at your disposal if a major problem occurs during you cruising vacation.

• The interior of most of our yachts are non smoking areas but is possible to smoke outdoor with usual precautions.


• Our departure bases are easy to access; a parking lot is available for your car. You may choose your cruising itinerary according to your interest and sailing experience. Always remember that wheater conditions, tide, currents and preferences of your passengers could bring you to change your initial cruising plan.
